CLASSIFICATION: Aromatic wine made with Barolo D.O.C.G. and mixture of spices.

ORIGIN: Popular in Piedmont since the late 1800s, it is made by cleverly mixing Barolo wine, which is the base, with an alcoholic infusion of cinchona bark and a secret blend of other spices and herbs.

PAIRINGS: Perfect sipping and dessert wine.
Considered to be the perfect digestive since the 1800s, it pairs deliciously with chocolate and candied fruit biscuits. It is also the natural accompaniment for walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts and for relaxing after the meal with friends. In winter, with hot water and lemon rind, is makes delicious punch.

FEATURES:

Red garnet colour with brick red tinges.
It is characterised by an olfactory expression of rare power with clear notes of aromatic herbs and spices, such as cinnamon and cloves, rhubarb and gentian, star anise and cinchona. The range of aromas is completed by hints of nuts, cocoa, jam and caramel.
The palate is ethereal, full-bodied, smooth, not overly sweet, harmonious and very personal.
Typically bitter finish.
