While Pedro Domecq was one of the oldest and noblest names among the sherry aristocrats, the family was also known for producing brandy. The Carlos I expression, which is aged using the solera system where younger grape distillates are mixed with more mature ones, was among the most notable of its products. That makes this bottling extra special, as it dates all the way back to the 1960s!
